Linear thinking isn’t enough to lead us forward.
It imposes old ways of seeing things.
It expects the same because it views the current moment as carrying on the same way into the future.
It’s why linear thinking gets blindsided by disruption.
We know a couple of things:
Change is a constant.
Change is accelerating in the business world. The world is getting faster and more complex.
You can choose to disrupt yourself (and grow) – or get disrupted.
As leaders, we have to consciously cultivate non-linear thinking within ourselves and others.
Research data shows that companies that fail are those that think what worked yesterday will work tomorrow.
We have daunting challenges opportunities ahead of us. They’ll need our best and most expanded thinking.
